WELCOME TO HOMAN SCHOOL - The teachers and support personnel are ready to assist you and your child as you embark on the journey of learning.  We hope you as parents will be positively involved in the many opportunities that present themselves each year to further the learning of the students.  By working together, we increase the chances of success for all children.  The staff of Homan School works to meet the educational, social, emotional, and physical needs of each individual. 

Homan offers many programs to assist children's learning.  Enrichment and remediation are a part of each classroom teacher's program.  In addition, Title 1 and Reading Recovery are available to support student's efforts to learn to read.  Students in grade 1 are the primary focus of our Reading Recovery program, with some services to kindergarten and grade 2.  Title 1 reading tutors work with small groups and individuals in grades 1-3.  An after school tutoring program is provided to students in grades 3-4 for help in all subjects, based on teacher recommendation.  Individualized computer-supported instructed  is available in grades 3-4 on a twice-weekly basis to strengthen reading and mathematics skills as a part of their regular instructional program.  A strong technology program is in place to further meet the learning needs of students and the instructional requirements of staff.
